Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Practice from Walden University in Minnesota

Dr. Teya, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a seasoned and compassionate healthcare professional who brings over 13 years of acute care experience to his work. Having served at the bedside as a registered nurse, he has honed a deep ability to listen attentively to patients’ needs, helping them heal with dignity and reduced stress.

Dr. Teya began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Langston University in Oklahoma. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Practice from Walden University in Minnesota, and later completed his Doctorate in Nursing Practice, specializing in Family Practice, at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

As the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of TopCare Family and Wellness Practice, Dr. Teya leads a patient-focused clinic that delivers comprehensive, accessible, and compassionate care. Under his leadership, TopCare has become a trusted provider in the community, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in primary care and wellness services.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Teya is the co-founder of the HecLife A&J Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports over 60 orphans in Kenya by providing food, shelter, and education. His work reflects a lifelong commitment to serving others and uplifting communities in need.

Dr. Teya is also an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including Sigma Theta Tau International, the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Texas Nurse Practitioners.

He finds joy in spending time with his family, playing soccer, traveling, and visiting friends. Guided by faith and driven by purpose, Dr. Teya continues to expand his reach, aspiring to serve those most in need—always striving to make a difference to the fullest extent that God allows
