Shem Teya, DNP, FNP-C, is a doctoral nurse practitioner providing optimal healthcare to patients at TopCare Family & Wellness Clinic in Garland, Texas. Specializing in family medicine, Dr. Teya offers various services ranging from chronic disease management to sports physicals. 

Dr. Teya graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He went on to earn his master's degree, becoming a family nurse practitioner, from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He's board-certified in the state of Texas. 

Dr. Teya brings vast experience to TopCare Family & Wellness Clinic. For instance, he's familiar with acute care, having worked as a registered nurse (RN) for over 13 years. Dr. Teya has over a decade's worth of experience listening to patients' needs and helping them recover with ease.
